Job Title: Leading Hand HD Mechanic Fitter

About the Role:

As a skilled fitter, you will be responsible for fostering a diverse team that services and maintains heavy-duty equipment, including Sandvik Production and Underground Equipment.

This is a FIFO opportunity from Perth or Kalgoorlie with flexible roster options (2/2 or 8/6, 7/7) and a market uplift allowance of 7% paid quarterly.

You will enjoy exciting career progression opportunities in a growth phase, excellent camp facilities at the Tropicana Gold Mine camp, and permanent, ensuited rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew of skilled fitters in servicing and maintaining heavy-duty equipment.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of heavy earthmoving equipment and underground ancillary plant.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of mining and safety regulations.
  • Ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills to drive team success.
  • Hold a valid C Class Drivers Licence – manual.

Requirements:

  • At least 1yr experience in a Leadership role.
  • At least 5yrs experience as a tradesperson, preferably within a mine site environment.
  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Mobile Plant.
