Electrical Systems Engineer

With a significant project pipeline, our Resources and Industrial (R&I) team is expanding its capabilities to deliver top-notch electrical design solutions for Mining and Industrial projects across the region.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to take on a challenging role that offers the flexibility to grow professionally and personally. As a member of our Tier 1 consulting environment, you will be working on a range of large multidisciplinary projects within the Mining, Industrial, and Transport sectors.
Our team of industry experts and network of technical specialists will support your development of technical and project management skills, enabling you to work across all project phases from studies through to detailed engineering and execution.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions from concept through to commissioning, creating technical reports, project documentation, and design solutions under the guidance of Senior Engineers within the team.
Main Responsibilities:- Work with our Tier 1 clients across mining, industrial, and heavy industry projects providing electrical design expertise.
- Develop technical reports, project documentation, and design solutions under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to coordinate electrical aspects of projects, ensuring timelines, cost, and quality standards are met.
We are looking for a passionate and professional Electrical Engineer with proven excellence in client service delivery. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with RPEQ or working towards.
- Ideal 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer for a consultancy or client, with extensive design experience in heavy industry/mining projects.
- Prior project experience in electrical design, construction, and commissioning, covering LV/HV power distribution and control, LV motor control, and control systems (including PLCs and SCADA).
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards and regulations in the mining and heavy industry field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
