Parking Officer Role
The Parking Officer plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and fair car parking availability for local residents. This involves encouraging parking turnover and improving the utilization of parking spots for all road users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting damage to parking equipment, parking signs, and other road infrastructure issues
- Supervising school crossings when required
The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the Victorian Road Safety Road Rules 2017, significant experience in a high-pressure customer service environment, and strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Qualification in an enforcement/justice related discipline or relevant experience
- A thorough knowledge of the Victorian Road Safety Road Rules 2017
- Significant experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Resilience and diplomacy in challenging interactions
- The ability to make sound judgments, assess safety risks, and interpret parking regulations
