Cloud Data Engineering LeadAbout the Role

The Cloud Data Engineering Lead will drive the development of a world-class data platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver platform architectures, oversee infrastructure operations, and provide guidance to junior engineers.

This is an individual contributor role that requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and effective communication skills. The Cloud Data Engineering Lead will be accountable for helping streams deliver their goals and setting direction for the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver cloud-based data platforms and associated capabilities
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure data platform reliability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security
  • Oversee infrastructure operations and provide guidance to junior engineers
  • Mentor and influence decision makers throughout the organization
Requirements
  • 5+ years of industry experience in cloud engineering/infrastructure/devops
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS
  • Experience mentoring other engineers and influencing decision makers
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS)
