Job Description

As a skilled Mental Health Nurse, you will provide patient-centred care in a multidisciplinary team environment. You will deliver safe and evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care that prioritizes patient safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Support patients and families through decision-making, advocacy, and discharge planning.
  • Contribute to clinical quality, safety, and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clear and confident communication, particularly when discussing risks and patient safety.
RequirementsEssential Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in mental health nursing.
  • Strong clinical and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a private hospital setting with professionalism and teamwork.
Desirable Qualities
  • Experience in drug and alcohol nursing.
  • Previous experience in private mental health hospitals.
  • Confidence in patient advocacy and communicating risks.
