Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a clinical, translational or basic science research program in rheumatology, contributing to groundbreaking discoveries and advancements in the field.
- Lead the development, implementation and promotion of clinical/education programs for MD students relating to rheumatology, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
- Provide high-quality patient care as part of the healthcare team in rheumatology, collaborating with colleagues to achieve exceptional outcomes.
- Promote a culture that values diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring everyone feels valued and respected.
- PhD in a relevant field to rheumatology, demonstrating expertise and passion for research.
- Registration as a medical practitioner in NSW with AHPRA recognition as a Specialist Rheumatologist and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, showcasing your commitment to professional standards.
- Established reputation and research track record, including publications in peer-reviewed international journals and success in obtaining research funding and supervision of research students.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives within rheumatology, improving student outcomes.
- A strong network of relationships with key academic and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders to enhance the standing of the Specialty, Hospital/School/Faculty and University.
