Job Description

As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in building design within a supportive consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work on simple projects or sections of projects, progressing towards responsibility for project sections.
  • You will apply standard engineering techniques to solve problems and assist senior engineers with analysis, design production, and calculations.
  • You will prepare calculations and analysis of building structures, assist with preparation of specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation under close supervision.
  • You will liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues under senior engineer supervision.
Requirements
  • You must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • You should be a graduate member with Engineers Australia.
  • You should have an understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
  • You should have 0-3 years of structural engineering experience.
  • You should be able to apply theoretical engineering principles to practical situations through analysis and interpretation.
  • You should have problem-solving/analytical skills.
