Job Title

Overview:

As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the legal department by providing expert advice and support to the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic professional services firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and advising on various client and commercial contracts;
  • Assisting with various legal matters including privacy and other regulatory issues, employment law matters and investigations, disputes and litigation as well as special projects;
  • Researching legal issues and supporting senior lawyers; and
  • Providing company secretarial support and updating the business on legal developments and providing training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws (or Juris Doctor) and eligible to practice in Australia;
  • Likely suit someone with 2-4 years PQE (private practice experience will be highly regarded);
  • An interest in contracts/commercial law and maintaining a broad practice;
  • Research and analysis: ability to interpret the law and develop practical and commercial solutions;
  • Self-development: commitment to developing your own technical knowledge and expertise and legal skills;
  • Commercial acumen and a strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a friendly, collaborative and high-performing environment;
