The Opportunity:

Visy is a leading packaging, paper, and recycling company with a commitment to growth, sustainability, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, performing tests and analyses on raw materials and manufactured products. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products, working closely with our Technical Manager and other teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on raw materials and manufactured products
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of test results
  • Collaborate with the Technical Centre Staff to provide knowledge and quality information for national-level paper auditing
  • Perform quality checks on factory machinery and equipment
  • Communicate quality issues to National Supply Chain personnel

What We're Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in a science or engineering field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills with a detailed solution-based focus
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Training will be provided
