As a Laboratory Technologist Trainee, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of pathologists, scientists, technicians, and support staff in providing accurate and timely test results.

**Job Summary**

This full-time traineeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain on-the-job experience and develop your skills in laboratory technology. You will work closely with experienced professionals and study part-time towards gaining a Diploma in Laboratory Technology (Pathology) at TAFE. As a Laboratory Technologist Trainee, you will assist in performing various laboratory tasks, including specimen reception, laboratory support, and patient-focused services.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Assist in performing laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of qualified professionals

• Receive and process specimens according to established protocols

• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders

• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or issues related to laboratory procedures or patient care

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations and meet quality standards

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent qualification

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
