The role of Licensing Specialist is crucial in delivering outstanding solutions and business transformation services to customers.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Licensing Specialist. In this capacity, you will be responsible for analysing customer requirements and determining the optimal licensing model.

This involves addressing licensing-related queries, structuring optimal pricing for proposals, designing Microsoft licensing deals, including negotiations with Microsoft and distributors, and working closely with the Sales team to develop licensing strategies that help win new customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the optimal Microsoft licensing model for clients based on their business needs and technology landscape.
  • Develop and implement value-added services to customers and internally, including providing insights into additional functionality that can be leveraged without additional cost.
  • Work closely with account managers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Generate reports to track license usage, identify trends, and demonstrate the value of licensing optimisation efforts to customers.
  • Provide internal training to stakeholders regarding Microsoft licensing best practices and key terms.
  • Effectively troubleshoot licensing issues and provide solutions to complex licensing challenges.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft licensing across CSP, EA, MCA, and Open Value models.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft cloud solutions (M365, Azure, D365, Power Platform).
  • The ability to prepare quality written correspondence and documentation.
  • Solid knowledge of licensing for other software vendors, including VMware, Citrix.
