Electrical Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled senior electrical engineer to deliver key projects within our major capital works program. The program focuses on renewing and upgrading critical infrastructure that has supported energy generation for over 100 years.

About the Role:
  • Apply technical expertise to support design, replacement, and integration of complex electrical systems ensuring safe and reliable operation of infrastructure.
  • Work closely with engineering, commercial, and project teams to provide high-level technical input and review key documents.
  • Develop and assess technical solutions to asset issues supporting safe and timely commissioning of new or refurbished equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and make recommendations for final engineering sign-off on concept designs, detailed drawings, reports, and project proposals.
  • Offer engineering advice to resolve complex project challenges ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers contributing to team capability and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Senior level electrical engineer with significant experience in design, construction, or management of large scale industrial infrastructure ideally within the hydropower industry.
  • Expertise includes HV switchgear, transformers, alternators, and other electricity generation related equipment.
  • Strong track record of providing technical leadership, managing risk, and delivering high quality outcomes across complex projects.
