About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our Hospitality Services team at Southern Cross Care Queensland. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience of our residents by preparing and serving nutritious and high-quality meals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of meals in accordance with Food Safety Program requirements
  • Plating and serving of meals to ensure a positive dining experience
  • Ensure timely delivery of quality meals to residents
  • Basic record keeping to track meal service and resident feedback
  • Cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
Requirements
  • Experience working in Aged Care or commercial kitchen environments (desired)
  • Compassion, sensitivity, and maturity to provide high-quality meals
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Flexibility with start time and days, including weekends
  • Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
