The role of Armament Aircraft Maintenance Engineer involves carrying out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance activities across various aircraft platforms.
This position is based at RAAF Base Williamtown NSW, with relocation support available for candidates outside the Newcastle, Williamtown, Hunter-Maitland area.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain emergency escape systems, egress systems, and aircraft weapon systems from onboard computers to stores carried by the aircraft, as well as load and handle various aircraft and stores.
- Be responsible to the Team Leader for scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Ensure maintenance and technical documentation used during maintenance is authorized and compliant.
- Correctly and promptly record details of work performed on appropriate documents, and gain certification of the work as required.
- Ensure all documentation for engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments are incorporated as directed.
- Report to the Team Leader all defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors, and unserviceabilities as they arise.
- Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorized level.
- Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks as directed.
- Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade, e.g., Cert IV Aeroskills – Armament (Mandatory).
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
- Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
