Coordinating Marketing and Event Initiatives

This is an opportunity to contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of marketing and event initiatives that drive engagement and awareness for South Australia's defence and space industries.

As a proactive and detail-oriented Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in showcasing the state's world-class defence and space capabilities. This is a dynamic and rewarding position where you'll contribute to the planning and delivery of impactful marketing initiatives, and high-profile national and international events, that align with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate a range of events including trade exhibitions, sponsored engagements, and business development initiatives.
  • Develop event collateral, websites, and other promotional materials using sound understanding of marketing principles, brand management, and communications.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage sponsorship opportunities to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in marketing and event management or relevant workplace experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, brand management, and communications, with experience developing event collateral, websites, and other promotional materials.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders across government, industry, and the community.
  • Capacity to work effectively in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments, remaining focused and solution-oriented under pressure.

This is a contract / term vacancy up to 24 months. Work outside of normal hours will be required and the position may require interstate and international travel involving overnight absences.
