Lead Configuration Specialist

The role of a Lead Configuration Specialist involves driving the development, implementation and maintenance of Configuration Management processes in line with Defence policies.
- Manage Configuration Items across the capability lifecycle to ensure traceability and status accounting.
- Support engineering teams in identifying, controlling and verifying system baselines and changes.
- Maintain and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) registers.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Information Management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Configuration Management within a Defence environment.
- Strong knowledge of Defence standards and CM tools.

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive our Configuration Management initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Configuration Management processes that meet Defence policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining Configuration Management processes and procedures.
- Leading Configuration Management workshops and training sessions.
- Providing support to engineering teams on configuration management best practices.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Defence standards and Configuration Management tools.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
