Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation tools and technologies, as well as a solid understanding of software development principles and practices.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing automation solutions, working with customers to understand their needs and providing pre-sales support to Sales & Marketing.

">

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to manage time and projects effectively, and have a solid background in programming with Unix / Linux SysAdmin or DevOps.

">

Additional responsibilities include delivering Puppet training and workshops to customers, assisting our education team to keep that training accurate and up-to-date, and contributing blog posts and other communication for Puppet.

  • Work directly with customers to understand their needs">
  • Provide pre-sales support to Sales & Marketing">
  • Deliver Puppet training and workshops to customers">
  • Assist our education team to keep that training accurate and up-to-date">
  • Contribute blog posts and other communication for Puppet">
  • Work with R&D and Product Management to develop and test Puppet products">
  • Develop, publish and maintain Puppet modules and products">

  • Excitement about working with the Puppet Enterprise and Open-Source community">

  • Demonstrated experience working with clients and internal resources in face-to-face, telephone, virtual meetings and the ability to work and interact as a member of a group or team">
  • Requires logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems">
  • Puppet Certification is a plus">
  • Programming skills (Ruby, Python, Go, etc.) are preferred but not required">
  • Windows systems administration experience, including Microsoft PowerShell is preferred but not required">
  • Large scale infrastructure experience is preferred but not required">
  • Knowledge of data center management, systems management, and monitoring, networking & security is preferred but not required">
  • Professional services experience in an open-source/enterprise software company is preferred but not required">
