Job Title: Sound and Light Technician

  • Operate microwave equipment to transmit video feeds and receive signals from remote locations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on radio and television transmitters, as well as related equipment.
  • Select and attach equipment to cameras, position them, and adjust controls to follow action during filming.
  • Set up and operate equipment such as spotlights, floodlights, and cables, managing lighting during filming, broadcasts, and live performances.
  • Design and craft musical instruments and components using techniques similar to cabinetmaking, metalworking, silversmithing, and wood carving, as well as tuning and repairing instruments.
  • Set up and adjust audio equipment, such as microphones, and operate sound mixing consoles to control volume and sound quality.
  • Select, set up, and adjust television recording, editing, and mixing equipment, ensuring proper operation and monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in a relevant field with two years of on-the-job training or Certificate IV in a relevant field.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience.
  • Australian Criminal History Check is required.
