We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to lead our Maintenance and Utilities – Maintenance Services Team. This is an ongoing role working in our afternoon shift.
The team provides essential engineering and maintenance support services on our site. You'll also manage a Mechanical trades team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Services Mechanical & Refrigeration.
The Role:- Provide maintenance and engineering solutions to improve plant and equipment reliability.
- Lead and supervise Mechanical Technicians; manage maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods.
- Ensure preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.
- Investigate process, plant, and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions.
- Provide technical advice in Manufacturing facilities on-site.
- Develop close working relationships with personnel in Operations, Electrical & Instrumentation, System Owner Group, Planning & Support Group, and Quality.
- Maintain training and documentation relevant to the mechanical team.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electromechanical or Process Engineering.
- Experience in a batch manufacturing environment, specifically in filling / packaging / palletising.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering position.
- Experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role overseeing contractors or trades.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
