Casual Visitor Services Guide Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as Casual Visitor Services Guides at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden in St Ives. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional experiences for our visitors by greeting guests, assisting with visitor enquiries, leading small group activities, and supporting events and education programs.

  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and respond to their queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Assist with public programs, tours, and events to ensure a seamless experience for our visitors.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors to enjoy.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Visitor Centre to ensure it remains a hub of activity and engagement.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with visitors and colleagues alike.
  • An enthusiastic and confident approach when working with the public, including children and families.
  • A genuine interest in Australian native plants and local wildlife, with training provided to enhance your knowledge.
  • Availability to work weekends and school holidays as required.
  • A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID001, HLTAID002, and HLTAID003).
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • A Certificate III in Captive Animals and/or fauna care experience is desired but not essential.
