Day Program Van Driver

Supporting individuals with disabilities to reach their goals requires a compassionate and professional approach. As a Van Driver for our day program, you will be responsible for driving a Hyundai Imax Van from our office, picking up clients around the suburbs for daily activities and returning in the afternoon. The shift time will range from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

A valid driver's license is required to drive this vehicle. In addition to your driving skills, we are looking for someone who possesses:

  • a passion for supporting people to reach their goals
  • compassion for people with disability and/or mental illness
  • professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
  • a minimum of Cert III in Mental Health/Disability/Community Services/Individual Support/Nursing or higher

The role may involve:

  • assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • personal care
  • behavioural and Mental Health Support
  • manual handling and the use of wheelchairs & hoists
  • transportation and social engagement

To be successful in this role, you must have the legal right to work in Australia, a 5 year demerit point report, Clear NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check - Employee, Valid Australian Driver licence with reliable transport, Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, and Proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
