Assistant Venue Manager Position Overview

This is a key leadership role within our hospitality team, where you will play a pivotal part in creating an environment that delights customers and empowers staff.

Located in Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory, this stunning coastal venue offers a unique blend of hospitality and charm. As Assistant Venue Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations in partnership with the Hotel Manager, ensuring seamless service delivery to guests.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be customer-focused, and have a proactive approach to service. RSA & RSG certifications are essential, with knowledge of gaming and WHS regulations preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead hotel operations, focusing on customer satisfaction and employee empowerment
  • Develop and coach team members to deliver exceptional service experiences
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including alcohol, gaming, and safety standards
  • Manage staffing, reservations, beverage service, and POS operations effectively
  • Support profitability through cost control and revenue opportunities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Leadership and team development experience in fast-paced hospitality settings
  • Customer-focused attitude with a proactive approach to service delivery
  • RSA & RSG certifications; knowledge of gaming and WHS regulations beneficial
  • Experience managing daily hotel operations, including staffing, reservations, and POS
  • Commercial acumen with understanding of stock control, revenue opportunities, and cost efficiency
