Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist

This role is focused on supporting the development and maintenance of a data warehouse and Business Intelligence environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling ad hoc requests, recommending solutions, and designing complex data structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle ad hoc requests and recommend solutions to data questions, information, problems, and reports.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve complex data structures, data models, and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Work within an agile development framework as coordinated by the Manager.
  • Participate in data & analytics projects as they arise.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for optimisation and automation.
  • Coordinate, develop, and maintain documentation on data products and solutions.
  • Create data & analytics solutions from prototype to production status.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary level grounding in data & analytics or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Demonstrated technical skills in data warehousing, Business Intelligence, semantic data modelling, ETL or ELT processing, SQL, and scripting across a modern enterprise data system environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, understand, and process data from complex structures and multiple sources.
  • Ability to manage expectations through effective prioritisation and delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
