Operational Excellence Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and improvement-driven Operational Excellence Coordinator to join our dynamic manufacturing team.

This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role is ideal for someone passionate about operational efficiency and experienced in applying Lean principles to drive meaningful change.

You will play a key role in enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
  • Facilitating and sustaining 5S, visual management, and workplace organisation standards.
  • Coordinating and running problem-solving workshops (e.g., Kaizen, root cause analysis).
  • Partnering with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Mapping and optimising process flows for products and documentation.
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs to measure the success of Lean initiatives.
  • Developing Standard work for processes across the site.
  • Training and coaching employees in Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Ensuring alignment of Lean activities with business objectives and compliance standards.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in a continuous improvement, Lean, or process-focused role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, visual management).
  • Strong knowledge of process flow, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Lean/CI software or ERP systems.
