Operational Excellence Coordinator
About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and improvement-driven Operational Excellence Coordinator to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role is ideal for someone passionate about operational efficiency and experienced in applying Lean principles to drive meaningful change.
You will play a key role in enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
- Facilitating and sustaining 5S, visual management, and workplace organisation standards.
- Coordinating and running problem-solving workshops (e.g., Kaizen, root cause analysis).
- Partnering with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Mapping and optimising process flows for products and documentation.
- Developing and monitoring KPIs to measure the success of Lean initiatives.
- Developing Standard work for processes across the site.
- Training and coaching employees in Lean tools and methodologies.
- Ensuring alignment of Lean activities with business objectives and compliance standards.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in a continuous improvement, Lean, or process-focused role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience applying Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, visual management).
- Strong knowledge of process flow, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Lean/CI software or ERP systems.
