Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Labourer to assist with day-to-day operations in our manufacturing facility. As a Labourer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our production lines and timely completion of projects.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble sub-assemblies for door core components
  • Use hand tools, adhesives, and fasteners (glues, nails, screws, etc.)
  • Operate production machinery
  • Bogging and sanding doors and panels as required
  • Repetitive manual handling up to 25kgs
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials and products
  • Support production teams with assembly and general labour tasks
  • Operate basic machinery and hand tools, following all safety protocols
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas daily
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment
  • Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
  • Previous Experience:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/labouring role in the timber industry is advantageous
  • Current Forklift licence desired but not essential
  • Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy materials
  • Personal Qualities:
  • Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours when required
  • MUST have a car and licence - Located in Virginia (no public transport close by)

  • A competitive hourly rate of $33-$35 per hour
  • Hours of work: 6am-2pm Monday to Friday (with overtime when required)
