About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Advocate to join our team at Caulfield Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of best practice integrated health promotion across various settings.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in health promotion, experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based health promotion activities, as well as strong relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports on health promotion activities and outcomes;
  • Work collaboratively with the Health Promotion Coordinator to implement and evaluate various strategies across priority areas;
  • Provide professional support and supervision to colleagues to contribute to organisational capacity building for health promotion;
  • Represent Alfred Health on internal and external networks as required.
Key Responsibilities

The Public Health Advocate will lead place-based strategies across various priority issues, including working directly with education settings and building their capacity to complete and navigate health and wellbeing initiatives using a whole-setting approach.

You will work closely with the Health Promotion Coordinator to develop and deliver high-quality health promotion projects and activities that address the needs of local communities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Tertiary qualification in health promotion or a related field;
  • Experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion activities;
  • Strong relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders, including community members;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet individual and team KPIs and targets.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive access to salary packaging and novated leasing, as well as discounted health insurance and onsite parking.
