Job Description

The role of Compliance Analyst involves assisting in the development and implementation of effective compliance processes and procedures for a financial institution. This includes reviewing compliance procedures, policies, and related documents against regulatory requirements, making recommendations for amendments and enhancements, and participating in the conceptualisation of new policies and frameworks.

As a key member of the Oceania Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely reporting of all compliance matters, providing comprehensive analysis and guidance to the business, and promoting awareness of compliance risk and regulatory issues with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review compliance procedures, policies, and related documents against regulatory requirements.
  • Make recommendations for amendments and enhancements to compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the conceptualisation of new policies and frameworks.
  • Ensure timely reporting of all compliance matters.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis and guidance to the business.
  • Promote awareness of compliance risk and regulatory issues with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years' work experience in a financial services compliance role, interacting with regulators, and general knowledge of the regulatory environment in Australia and New Zealand.

You will also require strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to apply good sense and judgment in interpreting regulatory requirements, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
