Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Heavy Vehicle Technician Trainee will include:

  • Assisting senior mechanics with vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Learning and applying technical skills and knowledge to diagnose and repair complex issues
  • Developing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy vehicles, including buses and coaches, and gain valuable experience in a real-world setting.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of Year 11 education
  • A keen interest in the field of heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations

You will also need to be willing to commit to attending trade school and completing the necessary training to become a qualified heavy vehicle mechanic.
