At Cummins, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice - Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technician
We offer a comprehensive training program that includes hands-on experience with diagnosis and repair of Cummins engines and products.
Job Summary:This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with heavy commercial vehicles and want to gain practical experience in a dynamic work environment.
About the Role:You will be working under the supervision of a qualified Cummins Technician and will have the opportunity to learn everything related to the diagnosis and repair of Cummins engines and products.
In this role, you will undertake a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120) and will receive structured on-the-job training and off-the-job study at a TAFE/Registered Training Organization.
Responsibilities:- To work under the supervision of a qualified Cummins Technician to diagnose and repair Cummins engines and products.
- To complete off-the-job study at a TAFE/Registered Training Organization to achieve a nationally recognized Certificate III trade qualification.
- To participate in structured on-the-job training and rotations through different departments to gain experience with various engine products.

- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- A passion for working with heavy commercial vehicles and Cummins products.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- The ability to work across regional areas and rotate through different departments to gain experience with various engine products.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $65,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits. You will also receive a mechanical starter toolkit provided upon commencement and the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognized Certificate III trade qualification.
