Job Responsibilities

As Operations Manager in our Melbourne-based Kmart Distribution Centre, you will:

  • Plan daily operations to achieve targets for safety, leadership, service, and financial performance.
  • Execute collaborative planning processes with stores, functional Team Managers to meet productivity targets. Produce accurate reporting for transport and cluster via our planning tool.
  • Assume DC Manager responsibilities in their absence and delegate operational tasks to relevant team members.
  • Lead and execute agreed plans to meet productivity targets and improvements using third-party providers or direct team managers.
  • Champion a continual improvement culture and manage service providers to deliver against agreed service levels and KPIs.

Key Skills

You must have:

  • Warehouse Management System knowledge & experience.
  • Occupational Health & Safety knowledge and experience.
  • Industrial Relations Understanding, including EBA's.
  • Computer skills, IT, and System skills to execute Kmart Planning Tool requirements.
