Strategic Communications Expert

This is a 18-month full time hybrid role, based in Sydney. You will be working closely with our Television and Online Content (TVOC) and National Indigenous Television (NITV) divisions to deliver strategic communications across SBS & NITV content and initiatives.

  • Help drive positive sentiment of SBS's reputation by promoting awareness of key initiatives and content.
  • Identify and manage reputational risks, and respond to media enquiries in an accurate, strategic and timely manner.
  • Prepare communications for external and internal audiences, including speeches, presentations, talking points, briefs, media releases, statements, quotes, annual reports, and social media posts as required.
About you

Ideally you will bring:

  • 10+ years' experience in a communications role or related area.
  • Television or other media background highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and deliver communications campaigns and/or opportunities which effectively support an organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to influence, build and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with the team and has excellent communication skills.
