Career Medical Officer Position

About the Role
  • The following positions are currently available in Psychiatry:
  • Accredited RANZCP Advanced Trainee rotational positions are offered across various locations for trainees at any stage of training.
  • International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are also eligible to apply.
Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and ensure appropriate patient management in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical skills, judgment, commitment to quality, safety, and risk management.
  • Show good time management and problem-solving skills, with ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • A degree in Medicine or equivalent, registered or eligible with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Australian & NZ Graduates/Competent Authority Pathway: 2+ years postgraduate experience as a medical officer in an acute hospital; recent clinical practice preferred.
  • Standard Pathway: 2+ years postgraduate experience, with at least 12 months in an Australian hospital, including 6 months in Psychiatry.
