Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Home Care Support Professional to join our team in the Lake Macquarie area. Your day will include:

  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining the home of older people so they have a safe and beautiful place to live
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, as well as providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
  • Personal care, including getting customers up, showered and dressed for the day, managing medication, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing respite and emotional support, as well as social support and transport to appointments
  • Delivering complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

Your role will involve working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with 6 months or more experience in a similar care role, including experience in giving personal care. A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle are also required, as travel is part of the role.

What We Look For In A Candidate

We're seeking someone who is passionate about assisting our aged community to live independently at home for longer. You should be comfortable working independently and have excellent problem-solving skills. Availability to work at least 3 days - Monday to Friday is also essential.
