As a Healthcare Research Specialist, you will play a key role in conducting high-quality research to measure and evaluate the quality and safety of care delivered to individuals in aged care settings. This includes analyzing large datasets to identify trends and areas for improvement.
The successful candidate will possess extensive relevant experience and a degree qualification in a related field. A PhD in Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Geriatrics, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated history of independent scientific contributions in their discipline, including publications, grants, and reports.
You will be responsible for facilitating activities of federally funded projects focusing on individuals in aged care settings. Your excellent proficiency working with SAS, R, or Stata, as well as your experience working with large datasets independently, are essential for this role. Additionally, you will have strong epidemiological and biostatistical knowledge, including experience working with observational data, multivariable modelling, missing data, confounding/interaction issues, and survival analysis.
The position involves some out-of-hours work, but you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
