About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Power Projects Australia Pty Ltd. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the delivery and engineering support of high-voltage projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide delivery and engineering support on high-voltage projects, including project management support, design development, procurement, site construction support, quality systems implementation, tendering support, reporting, and testing/commissioning support.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company and client quality policies and procedures.
  • Prepare tenders, project plans, and management plans, including ITP/ITCs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and execute RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare contracts and monitor subcontractor behavior.
  • Update project programs using Microsoft Project.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect sites and monitor progress on behalf of the Project Manager.
  • Ensure designs and client requirements are correctly implemented on site.
  • Interpret primary and secondary design specifications, documentation, and reports.
  • Interpret design implementation during construction to assist construction personnel.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • General knowledge of the high-voltage infrastructure industry, including project management, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning knowledge.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and project management principles.
  • The ability to solve problems and make good decisions in a timely manner, consulting others when appropriate.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, communicating with designers, construction personnel, clients, and management.
