Job Summary

The Tradesperson is a skilled technician responsible for providing front-line support for the Automatic Ticketing maintenance. This role involves a fast response maintenance service to all users throughout the network, including bus, rail, ferry, light rail, depot infrastructure, and station upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform safety checks, dis-connection, and re-connection of equipment and supporting devices
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, remedial maintenance, and ETS devices installation works as required
  • Support local networks, software rollouts, and vandalism call-outs to meet contractual obligations and ensure the ticketing system operates at its optimum performance level
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Electrician or Auto Electrical with mechanical background
  • TAFE trade certificate
  • Current Fair-Trading license (if applicable)
  • Holder of Class C driver's license
  • RIW card
  • Construction White Card
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in fault finding and diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of the ticketing system. The successful candidate will be required to work on a 24/7 rotation shift pattern, including day, afternoon, night, weekends, and public holidays.
