Fire Systems Mechanical Technician Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Systems Mechanical Technician to join our team at Cloudbreak mine. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering safe and high-quality maintenance work as required to the Infrastructure Services team across the entire mine site operations and camp facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance activities to ensure the integrity of fire sprinkler, hydrant systems, and pump sets
  • Diagnose and fault-find issues with fire protection systems
  • Oversee contractor groups on modular and major plant shutdowns
  • Replace fire pipework and/or sprinklers as required
  • Utilize SAP to raise notifications, close out work orders, and confirm time
Requirements
  • Australian Recognised Certificate II in Fire Protection
  • 2 years relevant experience - trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Plumber encouraged to apply
  • EAHL qualification desirable
  • Experience with fixed plant maintenance, including screens, conveyors, sizers, scrubbers, crushers, balance machines, and chutes
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance systems - SAP desirable
  • EWP, working at heights, Rigging, Forklift, and confined space training desirable
