Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer will provide expert guidance and assurance on procurement and contract processes. This includes developing and reviewing procurement strategies, tender documentation, and panel arrangements to ensure effective service delivery outcomes.

This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external entities to achieve strategic objectives. The successful candidate will have experience in undertaking end-to-end procurement, contributing to continuous improvement, and effectively managing competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and assurance on procurement and contract processes
  • Develop and review procurement strategies, tender documentation, and panel arrangements
  • Evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage probity matters
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external entities to achieve strategic objectives
  • Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and standard operating procedures

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in applying procurement frameworks and guidelines
  • Experience in undertaking end-to-end procurement, including reviewing and providing constructive advice on procurement plans and contracts
  • Experience in contributing to continuous improvement and delivering training
  • Ability to manage several competing priorities and strategic directions
