
IT Helpdesk Support Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our national team on a 6-month contract. This opportunity could transition into a full-time permanent role for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will provide centralized support and service to the business, assisting with the integration into our parent company. They will also manage incidents and service requests through to resolution, escalation, and closure communication.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level technical support to end users in person, phone, or remote offices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests.
- Set up, configure, and deploy user devices.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding of staff accounts, access, and device setup.
- Document solutions, procedures, and common issues to build an internal IT knowledge base.
- Participate in knowledge transfer from the managed service provider.
- Maintain asset inventory and assist with IT procurement logistics.
- Support office moves and technical setup of workspaces and meeting rooms.
- Evaluate complex issues and escalate as necessary to senior IT or third-party vendors.
- Requirements:
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar role within a professional services or consultancy environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or vendor-specific certifications.
- Relevant work rights to live and work without restrictions in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience providing level 1 and 2 IT support within a medium-to-large business.
- Experience supporting a business transitioning through a merge and acquisition is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent customer service skills with a customer-first mindset.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
