Associate to the Hon Justice Musikanth
Job Summary:
The Supreme Court of Western Australia seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual to join its team as an Associate to the Hon Justice Musikanth. This full-time position will involve undertaking legal research, producing high-quality written work, and carrying out administrative functions in preparation for Court sittings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide well-supported advice to the Honourable Justice;
- Prepare and produce high-quality written materials, including judgments, opinions, and other documents;
- Carry out administrative tasks, such as preparing court files, managing case lists, and coordinating with other departments;
- Provide support to the Honourable Justice during court sittings, including taking notes, drafting orders, and performing other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Law degree or almost completed law degree;
- High level of academic achievement (Honours or equivalent is desirable);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- High-level research, analytical and editorial skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, workload planning and organisational skills; and
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate high-quality written materials under time pressure.
