Job Title: Senior Advisor Privacy

About the Role:

The Right to Information and Privacy team is a small, collaborative group of specialists providing expert advice and decision-making across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve privacy complaints, breaches, and investigations in line with relevant legislation and frameworks.
  • Provide expert advice on projects and business initiatives involving personal information.
  • Contribute to governance and compliance work, including drafting policies, procedures, and operational guidance.
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy to support consistent decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Design and deliver engaging in-house training sessions to build staff capability and awareness around privacy and statutory obligations.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, risks, and gaps, and implementing proactive solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in managing privacy complaints, breaches, and investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy.
  • Experience in delivering in-house training sessions.
