Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist role is pivotal in ensuring all workshop and subcontracted jobs meet exacting quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. This key position oversees the quality control process to guarantee that every product meets the set benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:- Takes overall accountability for the quality of workshop jobs.
- Inspects jobs in progress within the workshop to ensure compliance with drawings, standards, and procedures.
- Performs final inspections of completed workshop jobs prior to dispatch.
- Conducts in-progress inspections of subcontracted operations.
- Develops Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and other Quality Control documents as required.
- Assists in the disposition and documentation of non-conformances.
- Ensures all measurement and inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Ensures work is performed in accordance with relevant codes, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Identifies, reports, and assists in resolving quality issues, contributing to the implementation of corrective actions.
- Proactively initiates actions to prevent the recurrence of non-conformances.
- Undertakes any other reasonable duties consistent with the role, skills, and safe work practices.
- Reports any incidents or hazards promptly to management and participates in incident investigations as needed.
- Supports and promotes a culture of safety: There is nothing we do that we can't take the time to do safely.
- Works collaboratively with team members to complete shift tasks and exceed customer expectations.
This role encompasses two facilities on the east coast. To be successful, you will need a Diploma or Degree qualification with relevant experience and excellent communication skills.
