Electrical and Mechanical Field Support Specialist

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on field-based work delivering high-quality electrical and mechanical support.
  • Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations, and emergency breakdown services for customers in the Melbourne region.
  • Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime, including some weekends.
  • Flexibility to work day and afternoon shifts as part of the work roster.
  • The usual work pattern is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Requirements:

  • A Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification (a Restricted Electrical License is highly regarded).
  • Experience working with automation and material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors).
  • Adept with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting/problem-solving equipment faults.
  • PLC knowledge in Siemens S7 and Scada WIN CC.
  • Experience in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Licenses and certificates for Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, and First Aid.
  • A current driver's license.
  • Sound computer skills for record-keeping, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and a rotating roster.
