Job Opportunity: Aboriginal Health Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Aboriginal Health Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of medical professionals in Indigenous Health. The successful candidate will play a vital role in teaching, mentoring, and guiding students throughout their medical education journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs focused on Indigenous Health within the Doctor of Medicine curriculum.
  • Provide dedicated support and guidance to Indigenous students across all four years of the program.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor for Indigenous students, offering valuable insights and expertise throughout their medical education.
Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and have a genuine passion for Aboriginal culture, health, history, and community development.
  • Strong connections and respect within local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are essential.
  • An allied health or medical background, or experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, is highly desirable.
