Horticultural Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Horticultural Specialist to join our parks maintenance team, responsible for implementing the winter tree planting program.

This role involves making informed decisions and providing support, leadership, and advice to staff members as required. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Treating trees with care and attention to detail;
  2. Ensuring safe working practices in horticultural environments;
  3. Maintaining accurate records and reports;
  4. Collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals;

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Horticulture or relevant experience in a parks maintenance environment;
  • A current 'LR' class driver's licence;
  • Construction Induction Training (White Card);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations;
  • Practical experience in landscape/amenity horticulture industry.
