About the Role

Datacom is a leading provider of IT professional services, and we're seeking a skilled Software Packaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations business, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality services and outcomes to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software packaging and repackaging, from discovery through to deployment support
  • Package development based on BAU tickets and projects
  • Participation in project planning sessions and project delivery
  • Preparation of documentation for operational staff
  • Analysis and rectification of packaging problems
  • Leveraging enterprise-grade tools, processes, and frameworks to deliver high-quality services and outcomes to Datacom customers in accordance with SLAs
  • Adherence to best practice methodologies and recognized ITIL processes (e.g., change/release)

Requirements:

  • IT technical support background, ideally within an IT-managed service provider
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and Windows 2016/2019 Server operating systems
  • Expertise in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Application Virtualisation, Active Directory, SOE Template concepts, and Application control concepts
  • Exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and adapt to rapid change
  • Keenness to learn and grow within the career, with motivation to attain and/or maintain relevant industry or professional certification(s)
