Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and consistently uphold the values of our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting an enterprise environment to ensure continuous availability of services for our Asia Pacific support offices, warehouses, and an extensive network of stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

This position involves providing technical expertise for core infrastructure, including cloud platforms, virtualization environments, patching and security systems, backup and SAN storage solutions, and more.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for information technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, they must be capable of working across multiple technology domains to effectively support operations, contribute to project success, and meet agreed Service Level Agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and proactively maintain systems and services managed by the infrastructure support team.
• Help produce appropriate infrastructure designs and technical specifications in line with defined processes to support the development of new and improved systems.
• Coordinated execution of projects tasks with support of Technical Leads and Project Managers.
• Providing technical expertise for core infrastructure listed in role requirements.
• Manage and proactively maintain all responsible systems.
• Help produce appropriate infrastructure designs and technical specifications in line with defined processes to support the development of new and improved systems.
• Coordinated execution of projects tasks with support of Technical Leads and Project Managers.
• Conduct training & mentoring programs to junior team members along with ensuring documentation is accurate and well maintained.
• Deliver weekly system reports to Infrastructure Manager.
• Adhering to infrastructure policies and processes (e.g. Change Management) as well as identifying potential risks within the IT environment and reporting accordingly.
• Conducting training & mentoring of junior team members along with ensuring documentation is accurate and well maintained.
• Following ITIL based ITSM practices and ensuring all incidents, problems and service requests are managed to agreed service levels.
• Supporting the organization in accordance with GPC Asia Pacific's procedures and policies.
• Liaise with internal staff to ensure a high satisfaction of services are met.
• Creating and maintain corporate knowledge base articles.
• Rostered on call program for supporting BAU & Project activities.

About You:

• 3+ years supporting cloud infrastructure solutions, integrations & migrations i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS etc.
• 5+ years' experience working with Microsoft enterprise environment supporting core systems e.g. M365, Azure AD, SCCM/InTune, Active Directory, AVD, Windows Server 2016-2022 OS.
• 5+ years' experience supporting a virtualization environment e.g. VMware.
• 5+ years' experience supporting enterprise patching & security systems.
• 5+ years' experience configuring and maintaining backup and SAN storage solutions.
• Coordinate and prioritize infrastructure activities and support requests.
• Proficient in time & priority management.
• Investigative skills to identify and solve potentially complex problems.
• Translate technical issues into understandable business language for end-users.
