Special Education Program Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Special Education Program Coordinator at our school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities.

The Special Education Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing our Support Program of Applied Readiness for Community (SPARC) program, which provides individualised support to students who require additional assistance to succeed in the mainstream classroom.

You will work closely with teachers, students, parents and external providers to develop and implement strategies to support students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to education and participate fully in college life.

  • Coordinate and manage the SPARC and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) programs
  • Collaborate with teachers, students, parents and external providers to develop and implement strategies to support students with disabilities
  • Advocate for students who require additional support to facilitate their active participation in school
  • Support teachers and Learning Support staff to ensure student needs are met
  • Help families feel heard and connected to their child's education
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to:

  • Implement effective strategies to support students' success and inclusion
  • Build strong relationships with teachers, students, and external providers
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals
  • Provide guidance and support to students with disabilities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
