Distribution Manager

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations. This role ensures imported goods are cleared, stored, and delivered efficiently and cost-effectively, supporting business growth and commitment to exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include coordinating inbound shipments from overseas suppliers, monitoring stock levels and implementing inventory control systems, supervising the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods through the warehouse, managing and allocating resources, liaising with third-party logistics providers, developing and overseeing delivery schedules, monitoring logistics costs, and ensuring accurate recording of supply, storage, and distribution activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Commerce, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, completion of courses or units specifically related to supply chain, logistics, or inventory management, and minimum one year of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution management.

Additionally, the candidate should have practical experience in handling international imports, particularly from China, including familiarity with customs clearance procedures and documentation, ability to supervise warehouse and delivery staff, and coordinate with third-party logistics providers, strong organisational and problem-solving skills, knowledge of inventory control systems and logistics processes, effective communication skills in English, and proficiency in Mandarin and Hokkien highly regarded to support direct communication with suppliers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Commerce, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum one year of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution management.
