Coding Instructor for Children

Empower the next generation of coders and game developers.

The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy individual who is passionate about working with kids (ages 5-12) and has experience in delivering engaging lesson plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver fun and interactive coding lessons to students
  • Set up and pack away equipment provided by the organization
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues via Slack
  • Complete any necessary training prior to the first session

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children or a passion for teaching
  • Basic coding knowledge (preferably drag and drop/block coding)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with technology
  • Confident public speaking skills and ability to deliver lesson plans in a fun way
  • Fluent conversational English
  • A current Blue Card or willingness to obtain it immediately
  • A laptop with HDMI port connectivity

Work Arrangements:

  • Casual work arrangement
  • Approximately 2-8 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, no weekends
  • Shift work schedule
